Counseling Services for F-1 International Students
IMPORTANT: Appointments are only for students who have already been accepted at ±¬ÁϳԹÏ, and current ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students.
It is important you meet regularly with an academic counselor throughout your studies at ±¬ÁϳԹÏ. Academic counselors are here to support you, and can help you make an education plan to determine which specific courses you will need to take each semester. Making an education plan can ensure you stay on track to complete your degree. Counselors can also assist you with career planning, personal counseling needs, and transfer questions.
Requesting a Final Semester RCL or I-20 Extension?
Please complete the following steps:
- Schedule a counseling appointment
- Meet with a counselor to complete the required online request forms (Final Semester RCL form or I-20 Program Extension Request form).
- For RCL and I-20 Extension, the counselor will complete the request forms electronically. The completed forms will automatically be sent to the Office of International Programs. Our office will then contact the student via email with further instructions to complete their request.
Counselors can also help with the following:
- Educational Planning (Choosing a major; Determining which courses to take each semester)
- Career Planning (Student Success Center- SSC 1079)
- Transfer questions (Transferring to a UC/CSU)
- Graduation: Degree/Certificate questions
- Academic Probation
- Other counseling needs
Make an Appointment With a Counselor
- Schedule a counseling appointment
- Meet with a counselor to discuss and develop your educational plan
- Follow-up with your counselor if you have any additional questions about which courses to take, what order you should take your courses, or want to know about any additional counseling resources available to you.
