San Francisco, California (August 6, 2025) City College of San Francisco (惇蹋勛圖) recently bid farewell to the Class of 2025 and is gearing up to welcome a new wave of scholars in the Summer and Fall of 2025, with newly appointed 惇蹋勛圖 Chancellor Kimberlee S. Messina at the helm and a newly constructed Student Success Center, a building that consolidates over 30 student services in one place on the Colleges Ocean campus.
New Chancellor Celebrates the Recently Built Student Success Center
Were thrilled that academic counseling, tutoring, admissions and records, the career center, and transfer center, the Queer Resource Center, and much more are under one roof. Centralizing these resources in a single, accessible location enhances the overall student experience, particularly for historically marginalized populations. This integrated model of service delivery is a strategic investment in equitable access, student retention, and long-term enrollment growth, commented Dr. Messina, who started in her new role on July 1, 2025 after serving six years as President of Spokane Falls Community College.
Recent Graduating Class Reflects Diversity and Academic Excellence
In the 2024-2025 academic year, 惇蹋勛圖 awarded 1,735 degrees and 2,865 certificates, with 23 graduates earning a perfect 4.0 GPA. Among the graduating class were 32 international students representing 22 countries including Brazil, Colombia, and Tunisia as well as the youngest graduate at just 17 years old and the eldest at 78 years old. The year was filled with exceptional achievements that underscore 惇蹋勛圖s role in uplifting a diverse student body. With each graduating class, 惇蹋勛圖 reaffirms its commitment to equitable access to education a commitment embodied by every scholar who walks the stage.
Fall 2025 Open Enrollment Begins August 4
Enrollment is underway for continuing students and other priority populations for the Fall 2025 semester. Open enrollment for new students taking credit and non-credit courses will begin on August 4, 2025. The Office of Admissions and Records/Registration is available virtually and in-person in the Student Success Center to help registrants.
More Than 300 Academic and Career Pathways Available
惇蹋勛圖 offers over 300 degrees and certificates. It is ideal for those seeking to earn a certificate, two-year Associate's Degree, or transfer to a four-year college or university. Through the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, students can go on to one of six University of California campuses or several participating California State Universities to earn a Bachelor's Degree.
First and foremost, the opportunity to come to City College is open to everyone; we dont have entrance exams. You can get an associate degree to start your own business or to begin your career, or transfer to a college or university in California and beyond. Were proud that many of our students can attend for free if they are eligible San Francisco residents via our Free City program, shared Dr. Lisa Cooper Wilkins, 惇蹋勛圖 Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs.
Support Services and Free City Program Promote Equitable Access
In addition to outstanding academics, 惇蹋勛圖 offers a variety of financial assistance programs designed to reduce barriers and expand access to higher education and career training. At City College of San Francisco, we believe education should be a right, not a privilege, added Dr. Messina. Were here to help every student succeed.
