The Transfer Center is now located in the Student Success Center (SSC), Room 1079, next to Academic Counseling.


The Transfer Center assists ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students who plan to apply for transfer admissions to universities to obtain their bachelor's degree(s). New students who want to transfer to ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï from another college/university should visit the Steps to Become a ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï student website to initiate the process. 


Planning on transferring to a university? Appointments are available in Spring 2026 with a transfer counselor. Email (transfer@ccsf.edu) for an appointment or stop by Student Success Center #1079. See the "By Appointment" tab below for more information. 


 Fall 2026 Transfer Admissions Applications

Stanford University Update

Transfer applicants are now required to have SAT or ACT test scores as part of the required application components. Students applying for Fall 2026 admissions, must take the SAT or ACT test.

Universities like UC Berkeley, SF State, HBCUs, and others have free virtual events for students. We have a list and continually add more as we receive invitations for our ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students. Keep checking the Latest News link for events throughout the semester.


 

About the Transfer Center

The Transfer Center is the hub of transfer information and events for City College of San Francisco. We offer support and resources to help students prepare and successfully transfer to a four-year degree program. We train all ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï counselors on transfer requirements so they can best assist students with their transfer goals.  

Connect with a Transfer Center Counselor:
Appointments for transfer counseling are available by emailing us (transfer@ccsf.edu) or stop by the Student Success Center #1079. 

Students must include their ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï ID number,availability for an appointment (Monday - Thursdays between 9 am - 5 pm), preferred counseling mode (in-person or virtual), and  counseling questions. Appointments are booked 1-2 weeks in advance.

Students should have a list of universities they plan to apply for admissions and major. Students cannot apply as undeclared/undecided for transfer admissions. 

 

 

 

Drop-In/Quick Question Counseling (15-20 minutes per student)

 

January 12 - 31, the Transfer Center will be prioritizing and supporting students who are applied for Fall 2026 transfer admissions.  They have a January 31st deadline for their UC Transfer Academic Update (TAU), CSU Transfer Academic History, and supplemental applications. 

January 2026: Planning on transferring for 2027 or later? Academic counseling drop-in is available for students who have transfer questions. All ±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï counselors are knowledgeable on transfer requirements. Please visit the Counseling Services and Programs website for counseling appointments and drop-in counseling.
